The Insertion Point is indicated by a
flashing cursor bar  or an underscore .
This
can be moved by clicking with the mouse at any
point within the document, or by using the
keyboard.
- The
up and down arrows move the insertion
point up or down one line.
- The
left and right arrows move the insertion
point left or right one character.
- Page
Up or Page Down move the insertion
point up or down several lines at a time,
- Home
moves the insertion point to the
beginning of a line, and End moves the
insertion point to the last character in
a line.

choice of either writing over existing text at the
insertion point or inserting new text .
