Macros


Macros enable you to record a sequence of keystrokes and mouse actions which can then be replayed when the user initiates the macro.

Macros are mainly used to avoid manually performing repetitive activities within a spreadsheet. Macros can be used to:

  • insert predefined text into a cell
  • create a weekly printout of reports
  • set a standard column width for every new worksheet you open
